Ladies, here is a great idea for anyone looking for a cycling holiday or training break in south-west France. Tours du Tarn Fancy a week of cycling, socialising, food and drink specifically designed for groups of female cyclists? We can cater for groups of women who want to ride for leisure or for sport and can tailor each week to suit the needs of the group. Hybrid bikes are included in the price but we can hire road bikes locally or you can bring your own. The varied terrain around the Gorges d'Aveyron means there's something for everyone. The Tour de France passes through regularly for a reason and there's even great coffee! Starting each day from our cycling base above the Gorges d'Aveyron and ending each day back at our converted barn with breakfasts, evening meals and, of course, lots of wine! You can find details of the accommodation they offer by clicking here. "We are a family run cycling business based in South West France offering centre-based tours from our newly renovated barn where each room has a private ensuite and double, twin or superking bed. Our prices include, breakfast, evening meals (with wine!), airport or train station transfers, hybrid bike hire, an 11x5m pool and that's before we even get to the cycling that's on offer! We cater for road cyclists and those who simply want to take it all in at their own leisurely pace, enjoying what our little known region has to offer. It's a mix of French chateaux, fortified hilltop towns, vineyards, valleys and huge vistas.” Check out these reviews… "Amazing cycling holiday - the routes were well thought out with pretty scenery, tasty lunch breaks and just the right amount of climbing! This was my first multiday cycling experience and Marcus made me comfortable from day 1 and i definitely felt fitter by the end of the week. It's not just cycling. Fun evening activities such as eyeball golf and lawnmower time trials (brainchild of Forrest Jim) kept us entertained in the evening washed down with some lethal eau de vie! Lastly, they really should hype up the food they serve! The food prepared by Charlotte and Mel was super tasty and well presented (I was pleasantly surprised with such high quality food for a catered holiday!).... So much so I out ate the cycling we were doing. It was a lucky Google search that landed me on the tour du tarns website and I'm glad to have booked on to one of their first tours, not enough words to describe the amazing work these guys do and i hope to be back! Can you set up something in Asia so i don't need to travel so far? Sharon T, Hong Kong April 2017 "Highly recommended. The accommodation was spotless and very well appointed and tastefully decorated, with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The power of the shower was a very positive and welcome surprise after a long days ride. The cycling was brilliant  with lots of variety from sweeping descents past vineyards and along river  valleys to heart pumping challenging hills with rewarding views at the top. Chateaux and interesting Gites around every corner. Never a dull moment! Great  informative cycle  guiding  and bike maintenance from Marcus, with  the daily  ride tweaked  if necessary to take into account the group's energy and ability, with the odd challenge thrown in. A support vehicle with Jim's humour, is an option should the wine consumption be too much at lunchtime. The scrumptious food  by Charlotte and Mel and was of restaurant quality and far exceeded my expectations, to the delight if my taste buds, but not my waistline. Gluten and dairy free options were enthusiastically catered for. The Team at As Plos couldn't be more helpful to us, their guests. They went out  their way to make my holiday memorable.  I was a solo traveller but made to feel part of the group from the moment of collection from the Airport to my drop off. I can't recommend this enough. I've cycled in Majorca and Tarn Cycling holidays beats that by far." Paula G , Isle of Man April 2017 More reviews from singles, groups, road cycling, leisure and training holidays can be found on their Guest Reviews page. “Our prices remain the same for 2018 at €900 per person per week and discounts are available for groups of 4 or more booking at the same time. We can take a max of 8 people based on 2 people sharing. Contact us for more information or we're happy to chat over the phone too."
